Re: accurate hygrometer found, cheap (reply) Thanks for the info about the RS units but which ones, they have several as I recall. What I like about mine is that they are two different brands that agree with each other. I check them every day and so far so good. Having two of one model suggests the ... |

Re: accurate hygrometer found, cheap (reply) I find most of the humidity gauges out there are always questionable. There are digital humidty gauges from Radio Shack that I found work quite well too. But the problem with any of them is that it's hard to know when they accurate without some ... |

Re: affordable fingerstyle guitar (reply) If you are spending that much i would take a look at the Seagull line of guitars. They make a bunch of different models, and one with all solid wood that i think goes for around your price. I think they would probably be a better choice than the Eastman. |

accurate hygrometer found, cheap (topic) We all know about the importance of humidification. As an owner of a fine, all wood guitar and living in the desert I am constantly concerned about my guitar drying out. I have had a good hygrometer in the case as well as a sponge/baggie and Oasis but I ... |

Re: affordable fingerstyle guitar (reply) I've demo'd one of their acoustic 12-strings a while back. It was a pretty nice guitar for the money I thought. But it's always best to try any acoustic first if you can...or at least buy from someone with a 30 day return policy...just in case. |

affordable fingerstyle guitar (topic) My daughter gave me an early Christmas present, its a long story, so I have some cash to finally get a real fingerstyle guitar. I am talking to a guy about an Eastman AC308 for $700. 1 3/4 nut with 24.9" scale neck. I dont know what the string spacing at ... |

Carbon Bit Again (topic) I just recently purchased another C.A. guitar. This time it's the Gxi from Carbon Acoustics. I'm loving this guitar for it's great bass response. It has a 1 3/4 inch nut and lends itself to fingerstyle very well. It seems very well balanced and has a ... |

Best rig for the money starting out (topic) Hello. My guitar is an OM w/piezo. I have a Roland acoustic chorus100, but it cuts in and out and reverb is strange. I want to know what is a low priced comprehensive rig for playing coffee shops and small gigs. Any recomendations? Should I try to ... |

Re: CA Cargo guitar review (reply) Actually some of the rough texture ones are nice. They also have a smooth texture one out now and come in some pretty nice colors including a sunburst one which I really like. I've got the charcoal rough texture finish and am happy with it |

Re: Alternate tunings and broken strings (reply) I solved my broken G string problem for slack G or double slack tuning by using another guitar. My other guitar that's tuned to open G, only the low E needs to be retuned to get to drop C tuning. I use a third guitar for standard EADGBE. So 3 guitars in ... |

Re: Your favorite strings? (reply) I have used Musicians Friends (now Musicians Gear) for over 2 years, and have no complaints. At $2 a set I can afford to grab 10 or 20 sets at a time and always have a fresh set on the guitar. I use the 12's because the 13's (Musicians Friends brand, ... |

Re: Your favorite strings? (reply) I like the light gauge D'Addario's - I used the coated strings for quite a while but now I use the phosphor bronze ones - cheap to change out. - it's really a wash with the coated strings as far as price/performance, but I don't like the slippery feel of ... |
