Cheney! Good to read ya! Well, 'spose it does look like I'm on stage here. Still, its better here than with Troll Strickland. I'm disappointed that you keep feeding the troll. Too bad you couldn't appreciate the power of silence.

Lush, do I really need to remind you that you never exercised the power of silence yourself? You merely criticized us for feeding the troll while you kept railing about the Troll, right up to the moment that you stomped off to your room.
Come home and practice what you preach. But take it one step further -- don't even read his posts. Just post your links and you quotes and your pictures and let the rest of us - whether you think we're fools or not - argue with him if we like, and laugh at you when we need relief. The silliest thing about the silly room is that you're all alone over here, accomplishing nothing. Tim |

Hi Tim! I'm extremely disappointed in you in that you continued to feed Troll Strickland. I took a confrontational approach with Strickland because I wanted others to see his lunacy for what it was. There was no other alternative because people like you just didn't, and still don't get it: don't feed trolls.
As I wrote before, I'll participate only when the Strickland Troll problem has been abated. Since T3 is a rule-less room its up to people like you to put pressure on others. Strickland is a unique case. In my opinion he has serious personal problems that should be addressed by qualified professionals. As such, its up to you folks to nip that lunacy in the bud. IGNORE HIM. Its his cry for attention! He's pacified when you dialogue with him. It doesn't matter to him that his position is over-the-top: he just baits your dialogue, foments argument and drags down the creative energy of the place. As for the Silly Room, if you build it, they will come. I enjoy these threads. If reading them leaves you speechless, okay by me. It still made you smile! |

Lush, come back home to T3. Please. As for Strick, well we really don't get to chose the world or the times we live in, do we. I hate that my daughter is growing up in these times, but what are ya gonna do. you have to play the hand thats dealt. Ignore Strick if you want. Point out his fallicys if you want. Whatever man, its 'Merica. The only alternatives to trying to melt with the rest of the pot are hiding by yourself or sitting in a tower with a high powered rifle and thats just crazy. Come back, you are missed.

Came here and looked around and decided that this place finally answers that Zen question that has been pondered for centuries.

How much fun is it to read your own posts?
Seriously, perhaps we should ask for an ignore feature to be installed on TTT so we don't have to read posts from selected "trolls" |

Bob, dang it! It's good to read ya! That's a very good suggestion. But then so is banning trolls. Either way and I'm satisfied. Hope all is well.

Quote: Sorry to dissappoint you, Lush. Thing is, I just see it differently. When he was in his incognito mode, baiting and abrassive and trying to "show us ourselves," I agree he was trolling. Now? Nah, I don't see it. Sometimes he gets carried away, as many of us do, but I see the debate and much of his point of view as legitimate. I don't often agree, but that's not a prerequisite. So I engage, and when it gets out of hand, circular, or just totally non-sensical. I back off. But I feel no need to ostracize him, or to ostracize myself because others won't treat him as I see fit. YMMV. Tim |

Re: testing | ||

Tim: Don't be sorry. And don't feed trolls. Look, you admit that he trolls. Don't think that it stopped. Strickland has serious issues about which a professional should be working. I am not here to be an isolationist. On the contrary I welcome participation by all who are not trolls. As T3 is rule-less, its up to participants to behave appropriately. Troll Strickland is a far stretch from appropriate and others, like you who feed him, should stop. Failing that you must assume responsibility for aiding. As I said, once T3 has abated the Troll Strickland problem, I'll participate. Otherwise, you are welcome to come to the Silly Room.

I guess I should have just kept my last post here to the bare essentials:
I respectfully disagree. Tim |

Re: testing | ||

Tim: Disagree in any manner, respectful or not, that suits you. You cannot, however, deny the fact of Troll Strickland's outrageous behavior. Period. Nor can you deny that you've fed into it. Period. You want to nurture trolling, fine. I, however, will not tolerate it.

VI! Good to read ya! Trolls eat creativity, friendliness, rational discourse, friendships, sanity, rationality, manners, honesty, graciousness, an so on. Just watch Strickland and everyone that shamefully feeds him.
