Have you looked at guitars on Ebay lately? A lot of them have bids by someone with a user name that has two letters with two or three asterisks between the two
letters such as: "d***w", or something similar. I've seen several different user names that are set up similarly. Has anyone else noticed it?
What gives?

Ebay security policy. I assume you haven't seen the following notice.
To help keep the eBay community safe, enhance bidder privacy, and protect our members from fraudulent emails, eBay has changed how User IDs display on the bid history page. Only you and the seller of the item can view your User ID, all other members will see anonymous user IDs, such as x***y. |
