Best Fingerstyle weapon out there!

I have to reply just because no one else has.
People will say you have to have a 1-7/8" fretboard, you have to have concert sized body, etc. - all that is B.S.! For fingerstyle, the best weapon is what works for you. I have narrow and wide fingerboards, concert to jumbos - they all have their place. Enjoy! And feel no guilt.

I agree. I have had mine for 3 years(18 out of 13) and everyday it gets better. I can play it for 4 hours straight and never get cramps in my arm or hand -
great action and feel. I use true med Martin strings on mine. I sell in bulk(.56, .42, .32, .25, .17, .13). They really added some kick to the sound and help
with the different tunings I use-they don't break! have you tried heavier strings? My favorite guitar, although I have a special GA coming from Steve
Patience in CA. It is being made from Walnut back and sides and Redwood top so I'm getting very excited to see what it will be like.

Why walnut b&s ? If walnut helped the sound so much don't you think Martin would of made all their
guitar b&s from it long ago ? No they use rosewood and mahogany. Even maple b&s guitars sound stiff and stilted. You sure you want to spend big bucks for something like a walnut b&s guitar? Try employing some artistic common sense and listen more closely. Best of Luck . Doug. |

Put me in the Walnut camp too. I like RW and Hog, but Walnut just has this rich, dark sound that I really love. Plus it looks really nice. Plus it's a
sustainable, American tonewood. Plus it has this nice, rich, dark tone. Did I say that already? Yeah, I would spend big bucks for one. Plan on it, in fact!

The sound keeps getting better with the Walnut back and sides and Redwood top-WOW! Will be using it on my Next CD"Twelve strings-Two Guitars". The
ease of play is the best I have. Thanks Steve Patience!
