It should be very easy to find a 12-fret model since most are built that way by tradition. Don't know why though since I really hate the restriction is makes for slide playing. Personally I would look for a 14-fret neck or at least a 12-fret with a cutaway. There is very little downside to a 14-fret design since the body volume doesn't play nearly as big a role in the overall tone as an acoustic.

Fortunately Natiional got the message a few years ago and started building cutaways in many of their models....and the guitar playing masses rejoiced!
