Having gotten into playing more fingerstyle on my new Yamaha, I find that the strings that came on the guitar turn my fingers black. No idea what they are;
they look like standard "brass" item, light gauge.
For years, I've preferred D'Addario phosphor bronze strings, but I've been wondering if the new line of coated strings wouldn't prevent the finger blackening? I realize they are more expensive, but most folks report longer life as well...
